Optic fiber installation with the help of compressed air is an alternative to traditional technology. Eurolan offers pneumatic installation of optic fiber links inside buildings, between buildings and in offices. Specially manufactured micro tubes and micro ducts are used. One micro cable with a number of fibers from 2 to 12 is placed into one micro tube. A network operator can have micro ducts installed in advance for reserve and when necessary add additional optical fibers through the prepared paths. This method of optic fiber installation usually takes no more than 15 minutes.
